“From Word to Image” – Printed Edition Presented to Mher Israelian

In August 2025, the printed version of our bilingual publication From Word to Image, featuring the short story “Sona and the War” by Vrej Israelian, was presented to his son, the writer Mher Israelian. The book concludes with a moving interview with Mher Israelian, reflecting on two generations of the Israelian family — father and son, two colonels of the Armenian army and two masters of the written word. The conversation explores why “blood does not turn into water,” the true meaning of the name Vrej (pronounced “Vrezh”), and where military discipline meets artistic freedom.
